Kaysha Davis

I never really had anything growing up. We always had our necessities but anything outside of that was a pure blessing if it crossed our paths. I looked at the things that people had around me and how they took them for granted. I had never wanted to continue to be in the hood struggling day in and day out. I vowed to myself that I would work hard and do the things that the people around me never did. No matter how many good intentions I had things never seemed to go as planned. I later learned that if there was no pain there was no gain. So with every tear there would be a rainbow with a pot of gold.
~My Beautiful Nightmare~
Laying on the bathroom floor I tried desperately to hold my screams in. I panted and took deep breaths but this pain that I felt was unbearable for any fourteen your old child to be experiencing. It felt like someone was gutting my insides out. I couldn’t take it. Tears streamed down my face and I just knew that this would not be good. “Kay open the door,” my sister Katrina knocked. As another pain ripped through my body I couldn’t bring myself to do anything but let out the screams that I had kept inside. “Aaaahh,” I screamed doubled over in pain. I had always had nightmares about this day. Now I was actually living it. I just wanted to get through this in one piece.  “What’s wrong with you?” Katrina screamed. I could hear the panic in her voice. I couldn’t respond as I started feeling a lot of pressure. I heard another voice and it was Keith’s. Seconds later they burst into the bathroom. “Oh shit. What’s wrong with her? She’s dying?” Keith said. He looked like he had grown faint and was ready to pass out.
“Kaysha…you’re having a baby?” Katrina asked looking at the blood and fluid on the floor. Sweat drenched my body as I cried out in pain. I had never realized that I was this far along. I had just graduated from eighth grade two weeks prior and now here I was having a baby. I was a baby my damn self. “What is all the noise for?” Big Ma asked coming around the corner. Her facial expression said it all. I knew she was pissed and disappointed all in one.
When I made it to the hospital it was time for me to push the baby out. I had never had any prenatal care or anything but despite it all I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She was so perfect and so small but she was all mine. They rushed her off to get her cleaned and she was perfect. She only weighed six pounds even but other than that she was okay. I was so exhausted and I had to get fourteen stitches. I was really sore to say the least. They gave me medicine for the pain and I was out like a light.
When I did wake back up I thought that it was all a bad dream but when I realized that my baby was no longer moving in my stomach reality set in. I had actually given birth to a baby...my baby. I was nervous as shit. I looked over to my right and my brother Keith lay stretched across a chair sleeping. "Keith," I called out. He moved around and made some groaning noises. "Are you still in pain?" he asked sitting up.
"A little, where is she?"
"In the nursery, I can't believe you had a baby. That's the nastiest shit I ever saw in my life." Before I could say anything else the door swung open. Big Ma came in. She didn't say anything for a long time. She just sat there in one of the chairs. I could tell that she had been crying and it made me feel two feet tall. "So you done went out and had you a baby," she said staring a hole in me. I didn't say anything as the warmth of my tears graced my face. "Ain't no need in crying now. She here and healthy and that's all that matter," she said wiping the tears that hit the corner of her eyes. There was a knock on the door and I had never been so happy to see a nurse in my life. She took my vitals and made sure that everything was okay. "Tomorrow a social worker is coming to talk to you. You better talk with the brain God gave you. You not giving that baby to nobody. You gone take care of her the way she is supposed to be taken care of. You have to grow up really fast now Kaysha," she told me. I couldn't say anything because I felt so bad. She paged for them to bring my baby girl in and I swear it was love at first sight. She was so pretty and so perfect. She had my nice light skin with a head full of curly jet black hair. My baby was beautiful. I knew then that this was what my life would be all about and I wasn't upset about it. In a weird way I was happy to give my little girl what I had never had.
~Aiesha Jones~
I wasn't always this girl who just simply didn't give a fuck. My future used to be so bright but that was the difference of being a inner city girl and a suburban girl. I learned that either you were getting ran over or running with. I was a runner by heart. I realized that feelings only get you hurt no matter how much you care about a person. I grew that tough skin and it wasn't shit nobody could tell me. Either you were complimenting my swag or getting fucked over by it. I was tough as nails and didn't need a crowd to approve of my every action. I knew who I was and where I wanted to be.
My day dragged by as usual. I went on about three breaks and a lunch. On my last break I talked to Keisha and she had Chris car and promised she would pick me up. I was always accepting a free ride. I clocked out and went outside to meet her. Hearing a horn blow I turned in the direction. I couldn’t help but shake my head as the black Escalade came back into the parking lot. He spotted me and pulled into a park. “This is stalking,” I said.
“No it’s not. I’m M.J.,” he said now face to face with me.
“You know you seem crazy right?” I asked laughing.
“I know the truth. I’m trying to get up with you though. Maybe we can kick it sometime.” M.J. was about six feet even. He wasn’t too tall or too short. He was very slim and you could tell that he was very into his appearance. M.J. possessed a baby face and his waves lay perfectly on his head. He was indeed very handsome. I gave him my number and walked away as he stored it in his phone. “Who was that?” Keisha asked.
“A dude I met earlier,” I said as she pulled off. Chris had an old school Chevy and it was sitting up right. He would often let Keisha get the car and we would chill. “Sam get off in another hour so we can shop around in her job until she gets off,” Keisha said. I didn’t care. It wasn’t like I had shit else to do anyway.
After getting Sam we decided to go out to eat but it wasn’t anything major. I was tired and Chris and Keisha were supposed to be going out so she dropped us off and I went home to an empty house. I took a long hot bubble bath and lay across my bed watching State Property. I could watch this movie a million times and never get tired of it. Hearing my phone ring and I rolled over and got it off the charger. “Hello,” I said placing it to my ear.
“Was sup shorty?” the deep voice asked.
“Nothing was sup with you?” I knew it was M.J. I wasn’t expecting him to call this soon.
“Shit chilling. Where you at?”
“At home.”
“Damn so when a nigga gone be able to spend some time with you?”
“I don’t know. I work and go to school.”
“So you a busy woman?”
“Yup something like that,” I said. M.J. seemed cool but I wasn’t looking for anything serious and we both determined that. He had a girl at home and two kids and one on the way. I wasn’t trying to fill her shoes or take her place.

After about two weeks of talking and us seeing one another only for short periods, M.J. finally set aside a Saturday for just us two to chill. M.J. was really cool to be around. He was goofy as hell and always had me laughing my ass off. So that Saturday we planned to go to the movies and out to eat. I didn’t want to do too much or anything so I decided on some simple straight leg jeans from Express and a fitted ruffled front blouse. I wore gold flats and over sized gold bamboo earrings. I had bought me a black leather BeBe bomber jacket and I looked really cute. My hair draped my face in a fresh wrap and bounced effortlessly. My jeans fit me snug and showed off the banging body that I had inherited from my mother. M.J.’s seven o’clock was actually eight thirty but I didn’t trip.
When I went out and got in the truck he was playing Drake’s song Brand New. I loved me some him already and he had just hit the scene. We laughed and joked around. I liked that I could be myself around him. We ended up seeing Death Race and it was okay we ate at Joe’s Crab Shack and by the time we were leaving it was one o’clock. As we walked back to the car M.J. walked behind me with my ass pressed against his dick. I didn’t want him to think that this was that at all. It took more than a dinner and movie to play in this cookie jar and that’s what he needed to know from jump.
He dropped me back off that night and for about a month straight we kicked it. I wasn’t trying to be his girl and vice versa. Besides me he also talked to another chick name Camille. I had seen her send him some text messages when he left his phone in the car with me. I didn’t trip because I knew my place.
By the time Christmas rolled around we both had grown sexually frustrated. I hadn’t had any in months and he just hadn’t had any from me. M.J. hustled and he was working with something. His swag was on point. The nigga rocked Gucci, Bvglari, and Armani like the shit was given to him for free. So for Christmas when he bought me some diamond studs, a real Gucci hobo bag with the matching wallet and Marc Jacobs boots a bulb kind of went off in my head. I hadn’t done anything with him yet. And if this was the shit he was doing just for Christmas the shit could only get better. He didn’t know me and I might play innocent but he had just opened up a can of worms. We clicked a lot and I could tell that he was at ease because when it came to me, I didn’t bug him about who he was with and why he didn’t do certain things. I was cool, I was still young and I felt what it was like for a nigga to hurt my feelings and I wasn’t trying to go that route ever again.
~Gucci Fever~
After yet another dysfunctional dinner with my family I changed clothes and waited for M.J. to pick me up. He came around nine and I knew what was happening tonight. I was gone see what he was about. I dressed in a black low cut sweater dress and knee length Steve Madden leather boots. I had my hair in a fourteen inch sew in which suited me well because it made me look older. We went to the W Hotel along Lakeshore and when I say the suite was nice it was breath taking. M.J. had a bottle of Champagne on chill and the place was fit for a king and queen. I took my shoes off and got comfortable. He opened the Champagne and poured us both glasses. “Merry Christmas,” he said kissing me. I kissed him back and I could feel his hard on. I was moist in-between my legs also. The chemistry that we had was definitely thick. He moved his hands down my back and rested them on top my ass. I pushed him back onto the bed and straddled him. I slowly unbuttoned his Ralph Lauren button up and it slid down his arms. I grinded onto his dick letting him know that I wasn’t a shorty for real. If being with Marquis didn’t teach me shit it taught me the power of pussy. I did my thing sexually. There was no denying that. Marquis was a nigga of a different caliber so I had to make sure he was pleased. He was always showing me new things and I was always willing. “Damn ,” M.J. said squeezing my ass. I stood up took his pants off and I wasn’t surprised that his skinny ass had a big dick. I slowly pulled my dress over my head revealing my red lace bra and thong. My stomach was flat as a wall and my ass and titties sat up perfectly. I took great pride in my body. I walked back over to him and he slowly pulled my bra off. He took one of my titties in his mouth slowly rolling us over. He stared at me for a little while with his devilish grin. He pulled my thong off and slowly pushed my legs back. He gave me that grin once again as he slowly went head first into the feast that I had prepared for him in-between my legs. M.J.’s head was lethal and that alone would have been enough for any basic bitch. When he slowly inserted himself in me our bodies rocked with one another. I sat on top of him rolling my hips and he held onto them for dear life. Pussy had power and now I knew that. M.J. was all into my young ass. That night sleep was the last thing on our mind. We fucked until the sun was greeting us. I knew the difference and love making was not what we chose to participate in. We knew what it was. When we were together the world could go away. The reality of things was that he had a separate life and I was not going to interfere in that.

Shai Davis~
I had always been the type to try to plan my life out step by step day by day. I always wanted things to be perfect, for me failure was not an option. I guess it was just in my genes to be a hard ass. I wanted the perfect career, the perfect family, and the perfect relationship. I had yet to learn that nothing in life is perfect and that's why it's life. We live to make mistakes because that's what we learn from. I’ve always had so much hope for my life being so different though. I worked so hard at not being another statistic that I still fucked around and messed up. I had always excelled in school and even at work, I just knew that things couldn't get any better. I figured I knew how shit goes, but I had to realize that life doesn't come with a guide. I couldn't just see everything through a magnifying glass. I had to actually feel the pain, heartbreak, and failure to realize that it was a much bigger plan for me.
~If Only You Knew~
We pulled up on what I guess was one of Hassan’s joints and Dana hopped out. I opened my door and walked around to the driver's side. This was much different from our block; our block was quiet and very well kept. We were in the hood of the fucking hood. No grass, trash thrown around and not to mention the fact that both niggas and bitches were out posted on the block. I was too out done. I got a few dirty looks but shid I wasn't cut for that breed of living and I would never act like I was. Don't get me wrong I'm far from a punk but this street shit wasn't me. That's why I always told Dana to be careful. As I was pulling off I obviously wasn't paying too much attention because I damn near smacked the back of Patience car. He had stopped to talk to someone and obviously wasn't going to move. I slowly eased my way on the side of him to go around. At the end of the block he sat on the side of me, I was going to turn right and he was going straight. There was oncoming traffic so we both sat there waiting.  "You not gone apologize for almost smacking my shit back there," he joked.
"You shouldn't have been in the way," I said back rolling my eyes.
"What's all that for? I'm just fucking with you....where you going?" I felt bad because maybe I did give him a little too much attitude. "Home," I said back.
"Why don't we get up with each other?" he asked. I looked him over and his smile sealed the deal, I gave him my number as a car honked behind me. He called me as I pulled off. "So can I see you tonight?" he asked into the phone.
"It depends on what time," I said as I turned onto the expressway.
"Man I got a couple things to do. Maybe around ten," he said.
"That's cool."
When I got in I texted Dana and told her that I had made it. Simone was gone and I made a mental note to make sure I called her in the morning. I fished through my closet for something to wear. I didn't know where we were going so I decided to go casual. I texted Patience the address and started to get dressed. I knew that this would be a process. I showered and ended up dressing in some Diesel skinny jeans a black off the shoulder shirt and silver Jeffery Campbell flats. I was a real curvy girl but it fit me well. I ran the flat iron through my hair and just as I was spraying on my BVGLARI perfume Patience was calling. I added a little lip gloss grabbed my purse and I was out the door.
The Chicago breeze felt great against my skin. We was riding in an Audi Coupe and when I tell you it was clean, it was clean inside and out. "You look nice," he said.
"Thank you." I loved compliments. Young Jeezy's latest cd played as he cruised down the street.
We ended up going to eat downtown at Bennigan's. I didn't know any other places that were open but Patience was really cool to be around. He was one of those laid back ass niggas. He observed everything around him. He was a little cocky, but not in a bad way. He didn't talk about materialistic things he was just sure of himself. I hadn't been out on a date in a long time. I have this thing for aggressive men. If you can't handle me then there would definitely be no second date. Patience was a decent height, he stood at about 6'2. He had this nice caramel skin. His hair lay perfectly on his head in waves and his goatee was lined up perfectly there wasn't a hair out of place. He had a nice build and to top it off he dressed pretty nice. Kind of thuggish but his brands were A-list.
After dinner we walked around for a little while, the breeze downtown swept right through both of us. It started to drizzle lightly so we made our way back to the car. He opened the door and let me in then went around to the driver side. Our conversation just seemed to flow and surprisingly we had a lot in common. As we made our way back out west the rain seemed to come down harder. When he pulled in front of my house all the lights were out. I looked over at him and gave him a smile. "I had a good time," I said.
"Me too...you cool peoples," he chuckled.
"What you laughing for?" I asked hitting him playfully in the arm.
"Nothing...do I get a good night kiss?" he asked staring a hole in me. I leaned over and my lips slightly touched his. Our tongues intertwined with one another and his lips were so soft. He kissed me perfectly. "Alright...I'll hit you up tomorrow," he said as we both slowly pulled away.
"Okay," I said as I opened the door to get out. Lightening struck through the sky and my scary ass jumped. Patience let out a laugh and I couldn't help but laugh also. I got out of the car and ran through the rain onto the porch to go inside. He waited until I closed the door then pulled off. As soon as I stepped out of my shoes my phone was ringing. "Hello," I answered on my way upstairs.
"What would you say if I said I was coming back to get you?" Patience voice asked on the other end of the phone. A devious smirk came across my face. "I'm waiting," I said.
"Come outside then." I peeked out the window and he was seriously outside. I slipped my shoes back on and ran back out to the car. I got in and he pulled off. The ride was pretty silent. We were both in our own worlds. He was so intriguing and cool to be with. I usually tried to stay away from his type but the bad boy had gotten me.
We pulled up to a gated condominium complex in Berwyn. He typed in a code and the gate opened. We drove inside parked in the garage and we took the elevator to his floor. Patience opened the door to his place and it was a sure bachelor's pad.  There was a pool table and regular black Italian leather sectionals. He didn't have too much of a color scheme other than black, white, and a little silver here and there. His place was pretty typical for a man. There were no signs of a woman. Not even a hair clip was in sight. "You want anything?" he asked. I shook my head no. "I'll be back. Get comfortable," he said.
"I really need to get out of these clothes," I said. I had a big pet peeve about being in wet clothes. I should have gotten me some clothes but I didn't...I guess I was being too thirsty. Patience gave me a t-shirt and basketball shorts. I went into his bathroom showered and he didn't come back into the room until I was damn near dozing off. He climbed in bed and the smell of weed was very evident. It didn’t matter if he had showered or not, I had a real sensitive nose. "You sleep already?" he asked looking at me. I shook my head no but I really was. I turned over and looked at him. His eyes had a haze over them. He pulled me close to him and it felt extremely good to be in a man arms, I melted into his chest. He stroked my head and I slowly looked up at him. I moved my lips into his. With our make out session in full force I slowly climbed on top of him. My insides were throbbing out of control. I could feel his man hood threw his boxers. Patience ran his fingers through my hair as his back rest against the head board. We kissed for what seemed like forever but my lips never got tired. We slowly undressed one another letting our clothes rest peacefully about the room. As he slid the condom over his dick my eyes nearly bucked out of my head. I slowly slid down on him being very cautious of the fact that I had never had anything in me that big...on top of the fact that it had been so long. Our bodies rocked in sync. What we shared was so sensual, yet passionate and aggressive. "Damn....," I screamed as he now had me bent over with my ass in the air. The things that he was doing were unheard of. I had only messed with squares in my day so this was new to me. I was use to two positions....missionary and me being on top. I had always had an inner freak and he bought it out. I didn't give a fuck about giving it all too soon....there would be more from where that came from. "This mothafucka right," he said holding onto my hips and working his way in and out. I felt him hitting my spot and it seemed like I got tongue tied. Everything just all started to blurt out at once. With the release of that backed up tension I felt like I could take on the world. Patience and I collapsed on top of one another and went into a deep sleep. He was by far the best I had ever had.

As the sun went down they went back to their rooms to get dressed. D.J. Rockin Rell was in town and hosting a Wet T-Shirt contest. Everyone was talking about it. Kenya went to her room and ran her a hot bubble bath. She turned on some music lit some candles so that she could relax and unwind. Jackson had been on her mind all day so the hurt that she heard Keyshia Cole singing about was her. She had I Remember on repeat. She knew that it wouldn’t have hurt so much if it would have been an average nigga. This was her homie and it cut deep. She had never been so disrespected, heartbroken, and embarrassed all in one time. “Damn Kenya you really let yourself go.” she said aloud as tears came from her eyes. She didn’t feel like the same person. Feeling a little buzz she vowed that after this week was over she would be done with partying. She had been getting it in a little too much.

After an hour of being in the tub Kenya finally got out and wrapped up in a towel. She dressed in a one strapped royal blue Emilio Pucci dress and silver open toe Gucci wedge heels, and silver jewelry. She curled her hair and added a little gloss and she looked good despite the fact that she wasn’t one hundred percent. “Ken you ready,” Sweet Pea knocked at the door. She turned her light off and went out. They all looked good, Miami wasn’t ready for what they had to bring.

Inside the club people were going crazy, Rell had the club real live. They were all feeling it. It was a bunch of people in there but what got them was the way those females were in there dancing for the twerk contest. “I swear these hoes work on a pole,” Kenya said. They all laughed. “Damn number two don’t hurt nobody.” Rell said over the mic. He was playing Travis Porter’s “Bring it Back”. “Running in that pussy like a crash dummy, bend it over to the floor shake that ass for me,” Kenya sang dancing. That was her true art. She could have easily been in a few videos with her moves but that wasn’t her at all. “Damn I see ya’ll over here. Miami showing up and showing out,” he said now attention was going on Kenya. She laughed it off and started to move less seductively. That wasn’t her thing she was just trying to have a good time. They crowned the winner and everyone started to party. Finally Kenya wasn’t thinking about the drama that she knew she had to return to.

After the club let out Kenya had to go to the bathroom. As she was coming out to meet the rest of the girls a big swole Suge Knight looking guy approached her. “Excuse me Miss Lady. Rell is trying to see you,” he said. Looking him over Kenya let out a laugh. She was used to niggas with money and just because he was a celebrity didn’t mean she was jumping. If he was coming at her he needed to come correct. “And tell Rell he need to try me better. This is not that boo,” she said walking off. She left him there stuck. She met up with the girls and they headed down Collins back to the hotel. “Hey ma, let me holla at you,” a black suburban came along side. Kenya already knew who it was. She continued to walk. Rell got out and ran to catch up with her. “Damn ma, you not gone give me the time of day.” he said grabbing Kenya’s arm. She stopped and turned around. “Wassup?” she asked looking him over. Rell was probably six feet even. He was slim and he dressed in black skinny jeans, a fitted V-neck, leather Gucci shoes, and a blue jean vest with a New York Knicks snap back. He was very handsome and he had a different swag. Not really Kenya’s type. “I’m trying to see you,” he said. His dimples showed through his smile. “Yeah I figured that but you sending your body guard to talk to me was not cool. Real niggas do real shit and that right there. See that’s that shit I don’t like,” she said with her hands crossed over her chest. Rell liked that. She was the first to ever turn him down and stand her ground. “Where you from?” he asked digging her even more.

“Chicago, why?”

“No wonder. The attitude told it all. Nah ma, I do apologize. We on our way to the after party we would love for you and your friends to join us,” he said. Not knowing if she should take him up on his offer she weighed her options out. She did have a good time and wanted to stay out but she didn’t know. “Alright, we have to go get our car first,” she said.

“Cool, don’t send me off,” he said.

“Naw we coming,” she said walking off. Rell watched her walk off and they waited for them to pull back around and after about ten minutes Sweet Pea pulled up on the side of them. They trailed them to the house where the party was at. It was a nice mansion and people were everywhere. You could tell the groupies from the real bitches though and the real bitches were outnumbered. Kenya commanded Rell’s attention and he was giving it to her. He was stuck with her, she wasn’t for his bullshit celebrity status. He treated her like a lady and gave her his undivided attention. Kenya was actually feeling him, he made her laugh and he was a gentleman so after the party was over they exchanged numbers.

The next day when they finally got out of bed they went to eat. The ladies talked about the previous night’s events and couldn’t help but laugh, they were really enjoying themselves. Looking at her phone to check the time Kenya realized that she had a missed call from Rell. “Hello,” she said when he answered the phone.

“Wassup ma, I’m trying to see you tonight,” he said.

“That’s cool eight will be good.”

“Cool I will see you then. This a solo act.”

“Good no bodyguards.” They hung up and everyone was trying to see what was up. She told them as they headed back to the hotel. They all went to Kenya’s room to help her find her something to wear. “You really feeling him hunh?” Sweet Pea asked. Jackson was her brother until the end. She didn’t quite understand Shana and Kenya. “He cool.” she said looking through her bag for something to wear.

“I’m just saying though what is up with you and Jackson?”

“Nothing, I don’t know why you would even bring him into this equation.” Kenya said getting pissed off. She hated when Sweet Pea did that. “Sweet Pea why you always taking up for them?” Shana asked.

“I’m not taking up for nobody, I’m just simply saying be realistic. These hood niggas, what do you expect. If ya’ll think ya’ll gone get perfect then ya’ll kidding ya’ll fucking selves. You get into it with these bitches and do exactly what they want you to do, leave them. I would have beat her ass and been kissing him afterwards. The shit wouldn’t be over until I say so.” Sweet Pea said.

“And you take your own advice. You don’t know how that shit feel, to give a mothafucka all of you and they doing you in behind your back. You don’t know how it feels to be disrespected and fucking humiliated when you love a person so much. You don’t know that feeling so you can hold your comments,” Kenya said trying to fight back her tears.

“I know I don’t but I’m just saying, Shid I wouldn’t be marching to nobody tune but my own. Fuck that.”

“Sweet Pea whatever, you kill me with that shit,” Kenya was getting real irritated. Sweet Pea sensed it and calmed down. She wasn’t trying to piss her off. “Well I’m going to my room, I will see you guys in the morning. Have fun and be safe. Tell Rell that I will break those fingers if he get out of line.” she said standing and heading to her room. Autumn left minutes later but Shana stayed until Ken was completely dressed. She wore a knee length sundress and sandals. She looked really pretty. “You look cute,” Shay said smiling.

“Thank you,” Kenya was still a little pissed.

“Don’t let it bother you, everyone deal with shit differently. You don’t have to walk on egg shells Ken. Go out and have fun, you know how Sweet Pea and Autumn are. They think they have a dick and not a slit.” she laughed. Kenya laughed too, she was finally relaxing. Rell called and said he was downstairs so she headed out. When Rell saw her he smiled, he didn’t usually mess with dark skinned girls but Kenya was so beautiful to him. She lit the room up and he loved her attitude. “You look nice,” he said opening the door to his Lamborghini. Kenya got inside nervous as hell. She knew that these cars went fast as hell. Rell got in and took off. They went out to dinner and had a couple drinks then he parked and they walked on the beach. The air felt so good, it soothed the both of them. Getting into their personal lives they both had their own situations going on with their exes. Rell was dating a model name Isis. Kenya had seen her a few times on TV and in magazines and knew that she was a bitch. Rell said that they had been dating for about a year and they were going through a rough patch. Sitting in the sand Kenya rested between his legs. There wasn’t really anyone out so the mood was right. They both had a couple of drinks and were feeling nice so with that one touch Kenya wanted him. He took her hand and led her back to his suite and treated her like a real woman should be. He liked her because she was real, she wasn’t no groupie and wasn’t out for the green. She liked that he was established but to her he was simply Rell, not D.J. Rockin Rell.  Kenya was just as aggressive, she gave it to him the way that she saw fit. They didn’t make love they just filled a void that they were both missing from the person who they really wanted to be with. It was comfort found in each kiss, touch, lick and moan.

The next morning when Kenya woke up she felt like shit. Her head was hurting and she felt extremely nauseated. Rell ordered them breakfast in bed but Kenya wasn’t in an eating mood. She felt too bad. “You okay?” Rell asked. Kenya nodded and went to the bathroom. She threw up for a good ten minutes. She redressed and Rell took her back to her hotel. She promised to keep in touch as she got out of the car. Once inside her room she took a long hot shower and the only thing she wanted to do was sleep. She let everyone know that she didn’t want to be bothered and went to sleep for the entire day. Her body was drained and running on E.

The next day Shana was at Kenya’s room bright and early. She wanted them to go to the beach they were already hitting on their fourth day and it would be over soon. “We’re going to the beach you want to go?” she asked Kenya as she brushed her teeth. Kenya had been throwing up and the nasty taste in her mouth made her feel like she would have to do it again if she didn’t get rid of it. “Yeah that’s cool,” she said.

“Good we can leave out around one. That’s plenty of time for you to pull yourself together,” Shana said.

“Whatever,” Kenya laughed.

“Do you think you’re pregnant? I have been wanting to ask you that but I always looked past it. You look, well don’t take it the wrong way, you look sick.” she said. Looking in the mirror Kenya couldn’t agree more. Her face was completely flushed. “No I better not be.” she said.

“I think you are, you have that same look I used to have. You look sick as hell. It’s all in your face.”

“Shay nobody’s pregnant, I have just been partying too much. After this vacation is over I will be catching up on all my rest.” Shana knew that meant Kenya wanted to drop the subject so she dismissed it and headed back to her room.

The beach was popping as usual. It was a bunch of people out there and as they sun bathed a group of guys came over and asked them to play volley ball. They figured it couldn’t be that hard so they agreed. It actually was fun and the guys were nice eye candy. Feeling like things were going in slow motion Kenya slowed down running. Her body got hot and heavy and then she fell. Looking on Shana, Sweet Pea, and Autumn ran to her aid. Autumn knowing what to do took control until the ambulance came.

The next morning waking up the sun beamed on Kenya’s face. She wondered where she was at but when she realized she had an IV in her arm she knew that she had to be in the hospital. Shana, Sweet Pea and Autumn were laid out around the room. “What the hell happened?” she said scratching her head. Sweet Pea moved around and turned to look at Kenya. “Your raggedy ass passed out on us, you were dehydrated,” she laughed.

“You’re lying .” she said embarrassed.

“Nope Ken you were out cold,” Autumn laughed. They told her how everything went down as they waited for the doctor to come in. He finally came after about twenty minutes and he was an older white man. “Ms. Williams it seems that you are back in motion. Can I talk around them or do you want them to step out?” he said. Knowing that she would just tell them anyway she gave him the okay to say whatever he had to say. “It seems that you are pregnant,” he said. Everyone’s mouth hit the ground but Shana’s. She already knew it. “What?” Kenya asked.

“Yes you’re pregnant. So I want you to get an ultra sound before you leave so that we can make sure that everything is okay. I can fax everything over to your primary care doctor after that,” he said. Kenya only nodded her head. They came and led her to the room for the ultra sound and she was twelve weeks along.

Making it back to the hotel later that afternoon Shana went into mother mode. She made Kenya eat something and made sure she was comfortable. They all sat in Kenya’s room wondering what she would do next. “Are you even happy?” Autumn asked. The mood was so somber. “I don’t know what to feel.” Kenya said.

“I’m happy,” Shay beamed.

“What does that mean?” Sweet Pea asked.

“Exactly what I said. I don’t want it to leave this room unless I’m the one telling it.” Everyone got quiet. “Well we talked to Jackson yesterday.” Shana said.

“How?” Kenya asked.

“He called your phone after everything happened and we didn’t know what was going on and well I told him.” she said.

“Why Shay?”

“Ken it just happened. He called earlier before you woke up and I told him what was going on and he told me to make sure that you call him.” Irritated beyond words Kenya had to laugh it off. She didn’t understand they ass this time around. “Ugh, now I have to be hearing his shit, what can I possibly tell him?” she said.

“The truth,” Sweet Pea said.

“Sweet Pea I don’t even know if I really want a baby. I am not trying to go that route.”

“You foul. That’s some cold shit. Okay he cheated, it ain’t the end of the world. You need to learn to play your role. Fuck the next bitch because she definitely don’t give a fuck about you and yours.” she said.

“It’s easy to say when you not the one going through it.”

“Whatever Kenya, that’s some selfish shit. We need to just go home because this vacation has been bunk as hell.” Sweet Pea said irritated. Everyone looked on knowing how Sweet Pea attitude could get. “You right we should.” Kenya said.

“Here your phone ringing.” Sweet Pea slid it to Kenya and it answered and went on speaker. “Hello,” Jackson’s deep voice could be heard throughout the room. They all looked on not saying anything. Kenya picked the phone up. “Where Kenya at?” he asked.

“Who your baby’s momma? Aw she right here.” Sweet Pea said getting up and leaving from the room. Kenya wanted to choke the piss out of her. She took Jackson off speaker and placed the phone to her ear. “Yeah?” she asked. Shana and Autumn left out of the room making sure to close the door behind them. “What the fuck going on down there? You passing out and shit and what the hell Sweet Pea talking about my baby momma?” he asked. He was confused and trying to make some sense out of the situation. “I really don’t feel like talking.” Kenya said irritated.

“You can talk now over the phone or I’ll be at your door later on tonight. It’s up to you,” he said. Not up for anymore arguments Kenya told him what he wanted to hear. “You pregnant?” he asked. He was happy. “You have to start taking better care of yourself. That’s why you been so sick.” he said.

“I know what I have to do.” she said in a sarcastic tone.

“And what that mean?” he asked. He was far from stupid and he didn’t want Kenya to think that it was going down like that. “Exactly how you took it.” she said. Jackson hung up on her and she turned her phone off. She didn’t care. It was her body and her decision, all she could think was that she would be trapped.

The next afternoon the four ladies boarded a plane Chicago bound. The tension was thick and everyone had earphones in their ears. They were all in their own world. When the flight landed they headed to baggage claim. “Where your stuff at?” Jackson asked as Kenya walked up. She let out a long sigh, she knew that Sweet Pea had probably ratted her out once again. Sweet Pea pointed her bags out and she stood there. “Look we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Take your pick because either way is cool with me.” he said. Rolling her eyes Kenya walked behind Jackson. Rich was out front waiting on them. She continued to listen to music all the way until they got home. She didn’t want to be bothered.
