THE OFFICIAL 4 BETTER OR 4 WORSE EXCERPT!!!!

As the sun went down they went back to their rooms to get dressed. D.J. Rockin Rell was in town and hosting a Wet T-Shirt contest. Everyone was talking about it. Kenya went to her room and ran her a hot bubble bath. She turned on some music lit some candles so that she could relax and unwind. Jackson had been on her mind all day so the hurt that she heard Keyshia Cole singing about was her. She had I Remember on repeat. She knew that it wouldn’t have hurt so much if it would have been an average nigga. This was her homie and it cut deep. She had never been so disrespected, heartbroken, and embarrassed all in one time. “Damn Kenya you really let yourself go.” she said aloud as tears came from her eyes. She didn’t feel like the same person. Feeling a little buzz she vowed that after this week was over she would be done with partying. She had been getting it in a little too much.

After an hour of being in the tub Kenya finally got out and wrapped up in a towel. She dressed in a one strapped royal blue Emilio Pucci dress and silver open toe Gucci wedge heels, and silver jewelry. She curled her hair and added a little gloss and she looked good despite the fact that she wasn’t one hundred percent. “Ken you ready,” Sweet Pea knocked at the door. She turned her light off and went out. They all looked good, Miami wasn’t ready for what they had to bring.

Inside the club people were going crazy, Rell had the club real live. They were all feeling it. It was a bunch of people in there but what got them was the way those females were in there dancing for the twerk contest. “I swear these hoes work on a pole,” Kenya said. They all laughed. “Damn number two don’t hurt nobody.” Rell said over the mic. He was playing Travis Porter’s “Bring it Back”. “Running in that pussy like a crash dummy, bend it over to the floor shake that ass for me,” Kenya sang dancing. That was her true art. She could have easily been in a few videos with her moves but that wasn’t her at all. “Damn I see ya’ll over here. Miami showing up and showing out,” he said now attention was going on Kenya. She laughed it off and started to move less seductively. That wasn’t her thing she was just trying to have a good time. They crowned the winner and everyone started to party. Finally Kenya wasn’t thinking about the drama that she knew she had to return to.

After the club let out Kenya had to go to the bathroom. As she was coming out to meet the rest of the girls a big swole Suge Knight looking guy approached her. “Excuse me Miss Lady. Rell is trying to see you,” he said. Looking him over Kenya let out a laugh. She was used to niggas with money and just because he was a celebrity didn’t mean she was jumping. If he was coming at her he needed to come correct. “And tell Rell he need to try me better. This is not that boo,” she said walking off. She left him there stuck. She met up with the girls and they headed down Collins back to the hotel. “Hey ma, let me holla at you,” a black suburban came along side. Kenya already knew who it was. She continued to walk. Rell got out and ran to catch up with her. “Damn ma, you not gone give me the time of day.” he said grabbing Kenya’s arm. She stopped and turned around. “Wassup?” she asked looking him over. Rell was probably six feet even. He was slim and he dressed in black skinny jeans, a fitted V-neck, leather Gucci shoes, and a blue jean vest with a New York Knicks snap back. He was very handsome and he had a different swag. Not really Kenya’s type. “I’m trying to see you,” he said. His dimples showed through his smile. “Yeah I figured that but you sending your body guard to talk to me was not cool. Real niggas do real shit and that right there. See that’s that shit I don’t like,” she said with her hands crossed over her chest. Rell liked that. She was the first to ever turn him down and stand her ground. “Where you from?” he asked digging her even more.

“Chicago, why?”

“No wonder. The attitude told it all. Nah ma, I do apologize. We on our way to the after party we would love for you and your friends to join us,” he said. Not knowing if she should take him up on his offer she weighed her options out. She did have a good time and wanted to stay out but she didn’t know. “Alright, we have to go get our car first,” she said.

“Cool, don’t send me off,” he said.

“Naw we coming,” she said walking off. Rell watched her walk off and they waited for them to pull back around and after about ten minutes Sweet Pea pulled up on the side of them. They trailed them to the house where the party was at. It was a nice mansion and people were everywhere. You could tell the groupies from the real bitches though and the real bitches were outnumbered. Kenya commanded Rell’s attention and he was giving it to her. He was stuck with her, she wasn’t for his bullshit celebrity status. He treated her like a lady and gave her his undivided attention. Kenya was actually feeling him, he made her laugh and he was a gentleman so after the party was over they exchanged numbers.

The next day when they finally got out of bed they went to eat. The ladies talked about the previous night’s events and couldn’t help but laugh, they were really enjoying themselves. Looking at her phone to check the time Kenya realized that she had a missed call from Rell. “Hello,” she said when he answered the phone.

“Wassup ma, I’m trying to see you tonight,” he said.

“That’s cool eight will be good.”

“Cool I will see you then. This a solo act.”

“Good no bodyguards.” They hung up and everyone was trying to see what was up. She told them as they headed back to the hotel. They all went to Kenya’s room to help her find her something to wear. “You really feeling him hunh?” Sweet Pea asked. Jackson was her brother until the end. She didn’t quite understand Shana and Kenya. “He cool.” she said looking through her bag for something to wear.

“I’m just saying though what is up with you and Jackson?”

“Nothing, I don’t know why you would even bring him into this equation.” Kenya said getting pissed off. She hated when Sweet Pea did that. “Sweet Pea why you always taking up for them?” Shana asked.

“I’m not taking up for nobody, I’m just simply saying be realistic. These hood niggas, what do you expect. If ya’ll think ya’ll gone get perfect then ya’ll kidding ya’ll fucking selves. You get into it with these bitches and do exactly what they want you to do, leave them. I would have beat her ass and been kissing him afterwards. The shit wouldn’t be over until I say so.” Sweet Pea said.

“And you take your own advice. You don’t know how that shit feel, to give a mothafucka all of you and they doing you in behind your back. You don’t know how it feels to be disrespected and fucking humiliated when you love a person so much. You don’t know that feeling so you can hold your comments,” Kenya said trying to fight back her tears.

“I know I don’t but I’m just saying, Shid I wouldn’t be marching to nobody tune but my own. Fuck that.”

“Sweet Pea whatever, you kill me with that shit,” Kenya was getting real irritated. Sweet Pea sensed it and calmed down. She wasn’t trying to piss her off. “Well I’m going to my room, I will see you guys in the morning. Have fun and be safe. Tell Rell that I will break those fingers if he get out of line.” she said standing and heading to her room. Autumn left minutes later but Shana stayed until Ken was completely dressed. She wore a knee length sundress and sandals. She looked really pretty. “You look cute,” Shay said smiling.

“Thank you,” Kenya was still a little pissed.

“Don’t let it bother you, everyone deal with shit differently. You don’t have to walk on egg shells Ken. Go out and have fun, you know how Sweet Pea and Autumn are. They think they have a dick and not a slit.” she laughed. Kenya laughed too, she was finally relaxing. Rell called and said he was downstairs so she headed out. When Rell saw her he smiled, he didn’t usually mess with dark skinned girls but Kenya was so beautiful to him. She lit the room up and he loved her attitude. “You look nice,” he said opening the door to his Lamborghini. Kenya got inside nervous as hell. She knew that these cars went fast as hell. Rell got in and took off. They went out to dinner and had a couple drinks then he parked and they walked on the beach. The air felt so good, it soothed the both of them. Getting into their personal lives they both had their own situations going on with their exes. Rell was dating a model name Isis. Kenya had seen her a few times on TV and in magazines and knew that she was a bitch. Rell said that they had been dating for about a year and they were going through a rough patch. Sitting in the sand Kenya rested between his legs. There wasn’t really anyone out so the mood was right. They both had a couple of drinks and were feeling nice so with that one touch Kenya wanted him. He took her hand and led her back to his suite and treated her like a real woman should be. He liked her because she was real, she wasn’t no groupie and wasn’t out for the green. She liked that he was established but to her he was simply Rell, not D.J. Rockin Rell.  Kenya was just as aggressive, she gave it to him the way that she saw fit. They didn’t make love they just filled a void that they were both missing from the person who they really wanted to be with. It was comfort found in each kiss, touch, lick and moan.

The next morning when Kenya woke up she felt like shit. Her head was hurting and she felt extremely nauseated. Rell ordered them breakfast in bed but Kenya wasn’t in an eating mood. She felt too bad. “You okay?” Rell asked. Kenya nodded and went to the bathroom. She threw up for a good ten minutes. She redressed and Rell took her back to her hotel. She promised to keep in touch as she got out of the car. Once inside her room she took a long hot shower and the only thing she wanted to do was sleep. She let everyone know that she didn’t want to be bothered and went to sleep for the entire day. Her body was drained and running on E.

The next day Shana was at Kenya’s room bright and early. She wanted them to go to the beach they were already hitting on their fourth day and it would be over soon. “We’re going to the beach you want to go?” she asked Kenya as she brushed her teeth. Kenya had been throwing up and the nasty taste in her mouth made her feel like she would have to do it again if she didn’t get rid of it. “Yeah that’s cool,” she said.

“Good we can leave out around one. That’s plenty of time for you to pull yourself together,” Shana said.

“Whatever,” Kenya laughed.

“Do you think you’re pregnant? I have been wanting to ask you that but I always looked past it. You look, well don’t take it the wrong way, you look sick.” she said. Looking in the mirror Kenya couldn’t agree more. Her face was completely flushed. “No I better not be.” she said.

“I think you are, you have that same look I used to have. You look sick as hell. It’s all in your face.”

“Shay nobody’s pregnant, I have just been partying too much. After this vacation is over I will be catching up on all my rest.” Shana knew that meant Kenya wanted to drop the subject so she dismissed it and headed back to her room.

The beach was popping as usual. It was a bunch of people out there and as they sun bathed a group of guys came over and asked them to play volley ball. They figured it couldn’t be that hard so they agreed. It actually was fun and the guys were nice eye candy. Feeling like things were going in slow motion Kenya slowed down running. Her body got hot and heavy and then she fell. Looking on Shana, Sweet Pea, and Autumn ran to her aid. Autumn knowing what to do took control until the ambulance came.

The next morning waking up the sun beamed on Kenya’s face. She wondered where she was at but when she realized she had an IV in her arm she knew that she had to be in the hospital. Shana, Sweet Pea and Autumn were laid out around the room. “What the hell happened?” she said scratching her head. Sweet Pea moved around and turned to look at Kenya. “Your raggedy ass passed out on us, you were dehydrated,” she laughed.

“You’re lying .” she said embarrassed.

“Nope Ken you were out cold,” Autumn laughed. They told her how everything went down as they waited for the doctor to come in. He finally came after about twenty minutes and he was an older white man. “Ms. Williams it seems that you are back in motion. Can I talk around them or do you want them to step out?” he said. Knowing that she would just tell them anyway she gave him the okay to say whatever he had to say. “It seems that you are pregnant,” he said. Everyone’s mouth hit the ground but Shana’s. She already knew it. “What?” Kenya asked.

“Yes you’re pregnant. So I want you to get an ultra sound before you leave so that we can make sure that everything is okay. I can fax everything over to your primary care doctor after that,” he said. Kenya only nodded her head. They came and led her to the room for the ultra sound and she was twelve weeks along.

Making it back to the hotel later that afternoon Shana went into mother mode. She made Kenya eat something and made sure she was comfortable. They all sat in Kenya’s room wondering what she would do next. “Are you even happy?” Autumn asked. The mood was so somber. “I don’t know what to feel.” Kenya said.

“I’m happy,” Shay beamed.

“What does that mean?” Sweet Pea asked.

“Exactly what I said. I don’t want it to leave this room unless I’m the one telling it.” Everyone got quiet. “Well we talked to Jackson yesterday.” Shana said.

“How?” Kenya asked.

“He called your phone after everything happened and we didn’t know what was going on and well I told him.” she said.

“Why Shay?”

“Ken it just happened. He called earlier before you woke up and I told him what was going on and he told me to make sure that you call him.” Irritated beyond words Kenya had to laugh it off. She didn’t understand they ass this time around. “Ugh, now I have to be hearing his shit, what can I possibly tell him?” she said.

“The truth,” Sweet Pea said.

“Sweet Pea I don’t even know if I really want a baby. I am not trying to go that route.”

“You foul. That’s some cold shit. Okay he cheated, it ain’t the end of the world. You need to learn to play your role. Fuck the next bitch because she definitely don’t give a fuck about you and yours.” she said.

“It’s easy to say when you not the one going through it.”

“Whatever Kenya, that’s some selfish shit. We need to just go home because this vacation has been bunk as hell.” Sweet Pea said irritated. Everyone looked on knowing how Sweet Pea attitude could get. “You right we should.” Kenya said.

“Here your phone ringing.” Sweet Pea slid it to Kenya and it answered and went on speaker. “Hello,” Jackson’s deep voice could be heard throughout the room. They all looked on not saying anything. Kenya picked the phone up. “Where Kenya at?” he asked.

“Who your baby’s momma? Aw she right here.” Sweet Pea said getting up and leaving from the room. Kenya wanted to choke the piss out of her. She took Jackson off speaker and placed the phone to her ear. “Yeah?” she asked. Shana and Autumn left out of the room making sure to close the door behind them. “What the fuck going on down there? You passing out and shit and what the hell Sweet Pea talking about my baby momma?” he asked. He was confused and trying to make some sense out of the situation. “I really don’t feel like talking.” Kenya said irritated.

“You can talk now over the phone or I’ll be at your door later on tonight. It’s up to you,” he said. Not up for anymore arguments Kenya told him what he wanted to hear. “You pregnant?” he asked. He was happy. “You have to start taking better care of yourself. That’s why you been so sick.” he said.

“I know what I have to do.” she said in a sarcastic tone.

“And what that mean?” he asked. He was far from stupid and he didn’t want Kenya to think that it was going down like that. “Exactly how you took it.” she said. Jackson hung up on her and she turned her phone off. She didn’t care. It was her body and her decision, all she could think was that she would be trapped.

The next afternoon the four ladies boarded a plane Chicago bound. The tension was thick and everyone had earphones in their ears. They were all in their own world. When the flight landed they headed to baggage claim. “Where your stuff at?” Jackson asked as Kenya walked up. She let out a long sigh, she knew that Sweet Pea had probably ratted her out once again. Sweet Pea pointed her bags out and she stood there. “Look we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Take your pick because either way is cool with me.” he said. Rolling her eyes Kenya walked behind Jackson. Rich was out front waiting on them. She continued to listen to music all the way until they got home. She didn’t want to be bothered.
